What makes us different?
We strive to offer the cleanest bar on the market. Our ingredients all come from natural, minimally processed food sources and our “Real Food” bars share a simple base recipe of organic seeds and dates with flavorings including cacao, herbs, spices, and essential oils.
We’ve done our best to make our bars accessible to as many people as possible by avoiding all of the common food allergens. Our bars are naturally free from gluten, dairy, soy, nuts, and grains. They are safe for just about anyone!
We have worked hard to source as many of our ingredients regionally as possible. This helps us guarantee the quality of our ingredients while also helping us minimize our carbon footprint. We are pleased to say that over 75% of our ingredients grown in North America.
Extended Allergen Statement:
Our bars are made and packaged in a facility that processes other products, some of which may contain wheat, dairy, nuts, and/or soy. As much as we would love to have a dedicated allergen-free facility, there are very few available and it isn’t logistically plausible for us to take that step at this time.
We perform a standard allergen clean before manufacturing our bars. This means that all machinery and any equipment that comes into contact with our ingredients is thoroughly washed, sterilized, and verified for cleanliness by QA before beginning a non-allergen run.
Though we are not certified Gluten-Free, gluten tests are taken multiple times during our production to ensure that we meet the FDA requirements to be able to make our gluten-free claim. Click here for more information about the FDA’s gluten-free labeling guidelines.
The gluten-free logo we use on our packaging represents our commitment to using only certified gluten-free ingredients and following the strict testing and cleaning procedures highlighted above.
Amino Acid Profile:
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. In order to have a “complete protein”, each of these compounds needs to be present. The bar graph below represents the breakdown of each amino acid in our bars. Percentages reflect recommended daily allowances.
